The advanced Novell Cluster Services 1.8 training course teaches participants how to install, configure and manage Novell Cluster Services on Open Enterprise Server 2 SP1 for Linux. Participants learn Novell cluster architecture and and Open Source SAN technologies, which can be used to build a highly-available, scalable, and easy to manage clusters.

During this course, participants learn how to complete the following tasks:

• Deploy, configure and troubleshoot Novell Cluster Services in their existing networks
• Provide highly available file services for users
• Configure applications to run in a fault-tolerant environment
• Keep critical business applications running non-stop
• Consolidate servers into clusters and improve the reliability of their networks
• Migrate from NetWare-based clusters to Open Enterprise Server for Linux clusters
• Use command line cluster syntax to manage the cluster and cluster resources
• Develop advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose cluster failures and keep clusters performing optimally
